ThruDark is meticulous in the selection of our ambassadors. These include some of the world's best athletes, climbing the highest mountains and taking on incredible challenges in some of world's most hostile and extreme locations proudly wearing ThruDark's latest developments. They continue to push the envelope in their respective fields and contribute directly to our design and development phase. MULTIPLE WORLD RECORD BREAKING MOUNTAINEER

NIRMAL PURJA MBE "NIMS"

Nims wasn’t always a climber. He was born at sea-level and not from the traditional Sherpa family in fact he was born in the Dhaulagiri region of Nepal and raised in Chitwan, in the country’s flatlands. Nims left for The Gurkhas in 2003, age 20, where he served for 5 years before passing Special Forces selection and joining the SBS Nim was the first ever Ghurka to pass UKSF selection and went on to have a distinguished military career.

JASON CARL FOX "FOXY"

Jason Carl Fox “Foxy” is a former Royal Marine Commando and Special Forces Operator who is mostly known as one of the lead directing staff from Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Foxy joined the Royal Marines at the age of 16 and went on to serve in the SBS (Special Boat Service) where he served a total of 20 years for his country.

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST FORMER WORLD CHAMPION

VICTORIA PENDLETON CBE "VP"

Victoria Pendleton is known predominantly as one of the greatest female track cyclists of all time. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, winning one silver and a nine-times world champion. Over the 12 years of her professional career with Great Britain she won 34 World Championship medals.

Becoming a mountaineering icon

Mingma David Sherpa

A professional mountain rescuer and mountaineer; working in this sector since 2008 as porter-guide, head guide and expedition leader.

Mingma has been involved in several high altitude challenging rescues. Mingma also currently holds the record for the highest long line rescue ever in mountaineering history.

EX GURHKA

HARI BUDHA MAGAR "HARI"

Hari Budha Maga – a legend in his own right. Hari joined The Gurkhas when he was 19 and went on to serve his country in The Royal Gurkha Rifles. The Gurkhas are renowned for being a formidably tough and ferocious fighting force. It was here Hari deployed to some of the world’s most dangerous and hostile countries on multiple times.

Hari was medically discharged from the Gurkhas after losing both legs above the knee in an IED attack (improvised explosive device) in Afghanistan in 2010. Hari also sustained multiples injuries during the blast and to this day continues to suffer from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).

FORMER ENGLAND RUGBY CAPTAIN

DYLAN HARTLEY

Dylan Hartley played at hooker for Northampton Saints and England. Captaining Northampton through the most successful period in their 140-year history. He led the side to the clubs first-ever Premiership title and went onto captain England on a world record-equalling run of 18 test victories.
