The women's Vanguard Jacket is a mid weight, waterproof hard shell designed for fast paced outdoor pursuits including trail running and thru-hiking. Using a ThruDark own proprietary fabric that has been electro-spun for enhanced breathability when active. Featuring a storm peak, cinch hood, elasticated cuffs and Vislon Aquaguard zips for maximum waterproofing.

The women's Vanguard Jacket features a proprietary waterproof fabric developed by our own in-house team with the intention of being highly breathable for dynamic outdoor pursuits. Rather than taking a conventional waterproof fabric, the Vanguard makes use of an electro-spun fibre structure. The critical difference being that the waterproof membrane remains dense enough to keep water out but porous enough to allow sweat to escape, owing to the difference in volume of the respective sources of moisture. This means that the Vanguard Jacket has a remarkable breathability rating of 35,000 AP whilst retaining sufficient waterproofing to deal with showers.

Elsewhere on the jacket, wind resistance has been bolstered with a stiffened peak hood that is adjustable via a rear cinch drawcord. Waterproofing has also been maximised with the use of a Vislon Aquaguard zip and elasticated sleeve cuffs and waist adjustment help appropriately balance comfort and prevention of water ingress. Two hand pockets allow for stowage of essentials such as gloves and an embroidered ThruDark insignia rounds off the look.
