The reason waxed cotton works so well as a spray resistant barrier is that its hollow fibres are able to be filled up with, and hold onto, wax, rendering the fibres watertight. However, its ultra-dry finish sets British Millerain’s TekWax cotton apart. This gives your ThruDark garment all the functional performance of a classic waxed piece without the dampened feel of traditional waxed cotton.
