ITHAX JACKET

The Ithax Hooded Jacket is a lightweight, packable, alpine jacket filled with 100% recycled, Primaloft® synthetic insulation. A versatile, all-rounder of an insulated jacket to be carried everywhere from alpine faces to remote places.

Constructed from our own proprietary, ripstop outer filled with Primaloft® Silver Insulation Thermoplume® Cross Core™, the Ithax Hooded Jacket is designed to provide maximum insulation at a low carry weight.

We’ve carefully created a light, recycled nylon, ripstop outer and treated this with a PFC free Durable Water Repellent for added weather resistance. Primaloft® Silver insulation has been chosen specifically owing to its higher warmth to weight ratio than most synthetic alternatives. This has enabled us to create a lightweight, insulated jacket that will retain insulation better and dry more quickly in wet weather compared to traditional down fill jackets.

Design features have intentionally been minimised in order to maximise packability and functionality. Ergonomic baffles are constructed to enable improved range of movement whilst maximising heat retention. The Ithax Hooded Jacket features two hand pockets and an internal zipped pocket for stowage of expedition essentials.

As always, industry leading YKK zips have been used with oversized insignia zip pulls for easy accessibility when wearing gloves. Both hood and waist drawstrings have been added to enable cinching of the jacket in order to retain heat. An embroidered insignia on the reverse of the jacket adds to the minimal feel of the Ithax, the true staple of a year-round expedition kit list.

    Aerogel Temperature Barrier

    Primaloft® Silver Insulation Thermoplume® Cross Core™

    PrimaLoft’s® Cross Core™ series utilises Aerogel for increased thermal performance. Originally developed by NASA for aeronautical use, silica aerogel is composed of more than 95% air and is the lightest solid material on the planet making it one of the most effective insulating materials available for use. This aerogel is then moulded by PrimaLoft® into fibres that help insulate but at a low weight, ideal for use in high performance clothing.
